The special 2010 75th Anniversary Diamond Edition model is based on the Suburban LTZ with a white diamond tri-coat paint job, Cashmere colored interior, special 20-in. chrome rims, new roof rack rails. The Anniversary Edition will come with heated and cooled front seats, GPS Navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, rearview cameras, and of course, lots of special badge work, sill plates and embroidered front headrests.
Powering the 75th Suburban special is GM's Vortec 5.3-liter FlexFuel engine with a six-speed automatic transmission featuring a maximum towing capacity of 8,100 pounds.
Going back into the history of the Suburban vehicle; The vehicle was very popular in the earlier days as you may have seen in the HBO TV series The Sopranos, lead character Tony Soprano was often seen driving around in a maroon Suburban. The Suburban’s were often used as service vehicles like limos, police and paramedic vehicles, and were also used by the U.S. CIA and Secret Service.
