The 2018 model marks the first total Traverse redesign since its debut in 2009. Notable elements include:
- Available twin-clutch all-wheel drive
- 9-speed automatic transmission
- Intelligent Stop/Start
- Improved fuel economy
- Standard 3.6-liter V6 engine, Available 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder
- Traction Mode Select (for snow mode, off-road or towing and hauling)
- Teen Driver Technology
